Lakewood, NJ. The Big Bar Mitzvah has announced a date and venue for the big event.
September 30th at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ.
The simcha will be taking place in outdoor event spaces with all CDC recommended social distancing protocols in place.
During the height of the pandemic there were alot of people who suffered but there was one group of kids that had to suffer quietly. Those were the Bar Mitzvah boys who had looked forward to their Bar Mitzvah -one of the most important days in their lives- only to have it canceled or celebrated via zoom from their dining room.
So the Big Bar Mitzvah idea was born.
The Big Bar Mitzvah was created to bring joy and hope to these boys by committing to host a beautiful group Bar Mitzvah once the pandemic subsided. Over 500 boys from all over the world signed up and an individual web page was set up for them. The Big Bar Mitzvah hosted successful zoom events hosted by Jewish entertainers and has been sending a constant message of hope and encouragement.
Over 500 tickets have already been booked and reservations can still be made by visiting www.thebigbarmitzvah.com
Reservations are limited to the Bar Mitzvah boy and one guest. (father, grandfather, rebbi etc). The Big Bar Mitzvah is exclusively for boys who's bar mitzvah's were significantly impacted by Covid-19. This would generally apply for Bar Mitzvah's that fell out between mid March and mid June. A special invitation is extended for the 7th grade rabbeim who's talmidim are participating in the Big Bar Mitvah.
The event will feature a seudas mitzvah, a siyum, inspirational messages from rabbonim, a video presentation as well as world class musical entertainment.
